Analysis1 min read

DTXT's classification of "liquidity" fees against the project's token transfer path skipped a portion of the fee in a particular call shape. The attacker used the shape to extract the missing-fee share from the in-pair balance, while the pool continued to record the full price.

DeFiHackLabs reconstructs the sequence against the live BNB Chain state; the drain is in 0x07ba2ccf2b5c1aaca4c017af4fe87762a73ef7177f6ea8bb569367e908a0671d on BscScan for a total loss of 35,041.11 USDT.

What would have prevented it: applying the fee across all call shapes, with the fee receiver and not the caller held accountable for any rounding differential.
