Analysis1 min read

AISOTHPresale was a fixed-price presale where the deposit refund was larger than the deposit under a misconfigured bonus. The attacker opened many small deposits, the presale paid the bonus on each, and on close-out the contracts paid the bonus twice: once on deposit and once when called against the bonus accounting, while the contract's actual balance had not increased.

DeFiHackLabs reconstructs the sequence against the live BNB Chain state; the drain is in 0x11462984d7f5663db9cf95c07c6cd9ff91f5b2d6616268e8dd6a3013e190248c on BscScan for a total loss of 30,314.76 USDT.

What would have prevented it: a bonusOwed accounting that the deposit itself increments, so the close-out is debited against the same accrued balance.
